  Immediately after the attack on the Sri Lankan Embassy in Oslo 12 April 2009 the Norwegian Government strongly condemned and regretted the incident. The police have strengthened the security at the premises. Norway understands that the attack has upset many people in Sri Lanka, and our Minister of Foreign Affairs has personally conveyed his regrets through the Sri Lankan Embassy in Oslo. Norway will compensate the Sri Lankan Government for the damages done to the property of the Sri Lankan Embassy. 13 April 2009 The Sri Lankan Embassy in Oslo was attacked by a group of demonstrators on April 12 causing damage to the building and office equipment. The Norwegian Government strongly condemns the attack and has instructed the police to strengthen security at the premises.   The police are investigating the crime and will do its utmost to bring the culprits to justice. The police express regrets that they did not have enough personnel present when the demonstration came out of control.

  Norwegian Support to Humanitarian Demining Project   Today, Mr. Nanda Godage, Head of the Demining Unit in Milinda Moragoda Institute and Mr. Tore Hattrem, Ambassador of Norway, signed an agreement about support for humanitarian demining activities.
