The Norwegian position on the termination of the agreement with the Foundation for Co-existence

- Norway’s decision to terminate the agreement with FCE was done in accordance with the termination clauses in the agreement relating to non-fulfillment of the recipient’s obligations.
- Norway’s position has always been that we do expect Sri Lanka to comply with well-established international rules on immunity, including those contained in the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic relations to which also Sri Lanka is a party. Diplomats and state officials from Sri Lanka are enjoying the same privileges when serving for their government.
