Counsellor visits the project partners in the Field

Edle Hamre, Counsellor, Head of Development Section visited two project areas in Moneragala and Angunukolapellssa assisted by STRØMME Foundation through the financial support of Norway.
STRØMME Foundation has been supported by the Norwegian Embassy amounting to Rs. 250 million for a three year project to strengthen micro finance sector in Sri Lanka. This project focuses on strengthening locally selected partner organisations who are engaged in Micro Finance activities through which the grass root CBOs and NGOs are reached to deliver the services to the community. As at present STRØMME Foundation works with 10 local partners in Sri Lanka. The project commenced in December 2007.
